If the UV index is high, you'll find certain people roasting like a pig along the beachfront, in their backyards, or through a window (yes, you can sunburn inside, too.) Being out in the sunshine is rejuvenating for many. After all, our bodies need vitamin D to thrive. With plenty of activities that you can line up for the summertime, it's only expected you'll feel the burn without proper precaution.
I know, I know. Sunscreen seems like one of those mundane chores that you know you should do, but it cuts into your wave surfing time. What do you do if you're alone and can't reach your back? You're not going to ask a stranger to weirdly apply sunscreen to the back of your neck—that's intimacy you're not ready for yet. Regardless, it's super important to stay sun-smart because you can catch some serious illnesses–and even worse, end up looking like these guys.
